SUNDAY UPDATE: Wet Pattern For Much of the Week Ahead

Good Morning!  Just before 4AM this morning, radar is active.  A shield of rain now dominates much of central and south Alabama.  Our extended twelve day stretch of dry weather is over.  Now a multi-day wet period begins.  The probability of rain will be quite high every day through Wednesday.  There will be a smaller rain chance late week.  Dry weather appears likely for next weekend.

Those are the headlines.  Today’s Blog update will be short and sweet for multiple reasons.

TODAY:   On and off showers and thunderstorms.  It won’t rain all the time.  But, rainfall probabilities are very high.  Today’s high in the low 80’s will be held down by clouds and showers.  Low tonight 69.

Here’s just the “flavor” of Future Radar at 3PM.  You’ll get the idea.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  It’s going to rain.  Clouds and showers will keep the temperature down.   Drier, nicer weather by late Friday and through the following weekend, just in time for the Fair.

RAINFALL NEXT 6 DAYS:  I’m not going to say much about this map.  Your eyes will say more than any words I can type.  This is the model blend Expected average rainfall totals through Friday.  If this map verifies, it is gong to be a very wet week ahead, indeed.  No severe weather.  Just numerous showers and a few thunderstorms.

TROPICAL UPDATE:  I’m not going to get too wordy here, because there’s nothing in the Tropics that concern US specifically, right now.  There’s Hurricane Sam and Tropical Depression Victor.  There is a new Area to Watch off the Southeast U.S. coastline.

12+ hours of Football Saturday,  from 11AM till past 11PM, has completely zapped me.  But, it was an amazing Football Saturday in the United States of America, and it was important.  Getting up for you at 3:15 AM CDT this morning was not easy or fun.  War Eagle and Roll Tide.  We gotta do, what we gotta do.  I’ll get into much more depth tomorrow, I promise.

I’ll have a complete video in the morning.  Enjoy your wet Sunday.
