Warmer Days – Milder Nights – Late Week Showers – TUESDAY Video

Good Morning!  Temperatures will start to moderate today.  Expect warmer days, and the nights will not be as cool.  More changes are on the way.  An approaching front will bring a risk of showers and perhaps some thundershowers by Wednesday Night and Thursday.  On this video, we’ll look ahead to the weekend and beyond.  Plus, what kind of a winter can we expect?  There are new clues of a developing La Nina pattern.  I’ll show you how La Nina may effect Alabama’s winter weather prospects.

This morning’s chill will fade out quickly. Expect a warmer day today. Lots of sun. Comfortable. Not as cool tonight. Normal High is 80, Normal Low 54. Today we will ease closer to normal.

An approaching frontal system will bring a risk of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms Wednesday night & Thursday.

The front may hang up just a bit Friday. I’ll hang on a small rain chance. The air behind this front is somewhat cooler, but not much.

Expect some warmer days and milder nights. An approaching frontal system will bring a risk of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms Wednesday night & Thursday. So far the weekend looks dry and fairly comfortable.

There are increasing clues that a La Nina pattern is developing. That would tend to keep the main, powerful jetstream well north of Alabama. That would keep most of the most active weather north of Alabama. For us, a La Nina winter usually is drier and warmer than average. Stay tuned.

Full “Hunter’s” moon tonight.
