THANKSGIVING Update: Warmer Today – Showers Tonight – Cooler Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving!   It’s start on this holiday.  But, the news is good. Southerly winds will promote a quick warm-up.  By afternoon, we should be near 70°.  Some towns may do a little better than that.  An approaching cold Front will bring showers tonight.  But, no severe weather is expected, and probably there won’t be any thunder.

Much cooler air will follow the front.  Friday will be brisk and cool.  Iron Bowl Saturday looks sunny & cool.  Another front will bring a tiny rain chance Sunday morning.  Otherwise, we should be storm-free and dry for several days.

TODAY:  The morning chill will fade quickly.  There will be a good bit of sunshine, mixed with some clouds,  on this Thanksgiving.  Comfortable today.  High near 70.  Cloudy tonight.  Scattered showers are possible as a cool front sweeps through the state.

SHOWERS RETURNING:    An approaching cold Front will bring showers tonight.  But, no severe weather is expected, and probably there won’t be any thunder.  The showers are most likely after 9PM and before 3AM, in most towns.  Here’s some Future Radar snapshots.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   Chilly on Black Friday with highs only in the 50’s.  Winds will make it seem cooler.  Cool Iron Bowl Saturday. Near freezing Saturday AM.  Small rain chance early Sunday as another cool front moves through.  Dry & cool Monday and Tuesday.

IRON BOWL WEATHER:    Great Iron Bowl Football weather in Auburn.  Kickoff temperature near 60, falling to the upper 40’s by the end of the game.  Sunshine.  Not much wind.
