Good Morning! Our very warm Christmas Weekend continues. Temperatures today will be running about 18 degrees above normal. It will feel more like April.
The warmth will stay in place for the entire of the last week of 2021. We’re dry at least through Monday. Risk of showers returns to the forecast Tuesday. Shower & thundershowers will become likely on Wednesday and Thursday. Severe Weather is possible on Wednesday. We’re getting into a very active pattern in the week ahead.
SPRING-LIKE CHRISTMAS DAY: Morning low 56. Afternoon high 77. No rain.
TODAY: Patchy morning fog. Much like yesterday – partial sunshine at times today. Spring-like Warmth. High 77. Becoming cloudy tonight. Patchy fog late. Low 59.
The incredible Spring-like Warmth covers a large part of the nation.
NEXT FEW DAYS: Dry & warm Monday…upper 70’s. Risk of showers returns to the forecast Tuesday. Shower & thundershowers will become likely on Wednesday and Thursday. A stalled front will keep the risk of showers and a few thunderstorms in the forecast through New Years Day.
The Storm Prediction Center has outlined a Severe Risk for much of the state for Wednesday afternoon & Wednesday Night. Damaging wind gusts appears to be the main threat.
Could we see a big temperature crash after the New Year Arrives. Models hint at a big storm system Saturday night/Sunday Jan 1 & 2, then sharply colder Monday 1/3. Stay tuned. Here’s a peak at the GFS Ensembles blend. Severe Weather could precede the cold front.
I’ll have a complete Blog Update in the morning, online by 4:45 AM. Next video on Tuesday AM. I hope you have a nice Sunday.
