Good Morning! Call it a Spring preview. We had 82 degrees yesterday and we’ll be 80+ again today & Thursday. A dome of high pressure in the Gulf is keeping all the very active weather well to the northwest of us. It’s acting as a protective dome. The rain chance today and Thursday will be very small. Spotty showers. Scattered showers are more likely late Thursday night and Friday behind a southward moving cool front. By Saturday we’ll be in the 60’s. More rain is expected Sunday. On this video, I’ll bring up to date on the details, and the rain chances through early next week.
A frontal system will sink southward into central Alabama and will stall. Rain chance ahead of the front will be small. The more active weather will stay well north of us. It’ll be another very warm, spring-like day.
Again today and through Thursday, that big upper high in the Gulf will act as a protective dome, keeping all the active weather well north of us.
Because of the big high pressure dome, there will not be much rain at all in south Alabama through Sunday. Meanwhile, excessive rain totals continue in the Tennessee valley.
Very warm through Thursday. Small rain chance. Scattered patches of rain behind a cool front Friday. Much cooler Saturday, but dry. More scattered rain Sunday. Dry and cool Monday and Tuesday.
