SATURDAY UPDATE:  Nice Weekend Forecast  – Severe Weather Threat Late Tuesday

Good Morning!   The news is a lot better today, on this last day of Winter.   It’ll be a little below normal.  Today’s high upper 60’s.  Normal high 72.  But, it should be very nice with lots of sunshine.  It will be chilly tonight.  But you’re going to love the Sunday weather on the First Day of Spring.  What a great day!    In fact, even Monday is really nice, as we warm to the middle 70’s.

But, alas, we have another storm system to deal with next week.  We could see yet another round of strong to severe storms by Tuesday night into Wednesday.   In fact, it could be our strongest Severe Threat so far this year.

TODAY:   Mostly sunny.  A little breezy.  West wind 10 to 16 mph.  High 67.  (Normal hi/lo 72/47) Mainly clear, chilly tonight.  Low 42.

SUNDAY:  Perfect first day of Spring.  Sunshine.  A little warmer.  High in the lower 70’s.  Chilly again Sunday night.  Low 43.

SPRING BEGINS:   Today is the vernal equinox.  Spring officially begins at 10:33 AM, when the direct rays of the sun cross the equator.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   Great day Sunday and even warmer Monday.  Mid 70’s.  But, here we go again.  Another round of strong to severe storms Tuesday night into Wednesday. Cooler air late week, behind the storm system.

TUESDAY NIGHT SEVERE THREAT:  A Robust storm system will bring a rather substantial Severe Weather Threat across the Gulf States this week.  Looks like our strongest severe threat of 2022 so far.  Here’s the set-up Tuesday morning.

The Day 4 Outlook (Tuesday through 7AM WED),  from the Storm Prediction Center is particularly concerning.  It suggests a significant Sever Outbreak spreading across the Gulf states.  The 30% risk area is very rare 4 days out.  All modes of Severe Weather are on the table including the risk of a Tornado Outbreak.

Beautiful Full Worm Moon out there this morning! (Officially Full on Friday) (98.5% full this morning)

I’ll have another Blog update in the morning.  Enjoy this beautiful weekend weather.
