SUNDAY UPDATE:   Spotty Random Storms Possible – Hotter Days This Week

     Good Morning!    We have quite a warm weekend underway.  Today we’ll be close to 90.  There were a few showers on the radar yesterday.  And, even a few clusters of showers in the overnight hours.  Some towns got lucky.

Showers and a few thundershowers will once again only be widely scattered in nature today.  Most towns will get skipped.  Get ready for hotter days in the week ahead.  We’ll be in the low 90’s Monday,  but expect some mid 90’s by the middle and later part of the week.  Tiny rain chance Monday, but mostly dry in the week ahead. Couple of stronger storms possible Monday in SE Alabama.

CLIMATE DATA:   Saturday AM Low was 63, afternoon high 88.  Normal Low 61, high 86.  Record high for today is 94 from 1899, Record low 48 from 1888.  No rain in the past 24 hours through Midnight.  But, the airport reported a thunderstorm with heavy rain at 2AM.    Sunrise: 5:49.  Sunset 7:38.  Moonrise 7:21 PM.  Moon set in the morning at 5:19 AM

TODAY:  Sun/cloud mix.  Warm day.  High 89.  Spotty random widely scattered showers or thundershowers.  East wind 5 to 10 mph.  Low tonight 65.

FULL LUNAR ECLIPSE:      Tonight will be the night for the so called “blood red lunar eclipse”.  The graphic below has the times.  Hopefully, the clouds will cooperate.  On tomorrow’s blog, I’ll tell you about a great Monday night ISS Flyover.
