SUNDAY UPDATE:   Hotter Days in the Week Ahead – Random Storms Will Return

Good Morning!    It’s been a pretty good first weekend of June, all things considered.  Today will be hot, but not too terribly humid.  I have the rain chance just under 20%.

A few spotty random widely scattered storms will start to pop up by Monday afternoon & evening.  We have a hot week ahead.  In fact, mid 90’s are a good bet Tuesday through Thursday.  Scattered storms could be slightly more numerous by Thursday and Friday.

Meanwhile, Potential Tropical Cyclone One is now an official Tropical Storm.   Say hello to Tropical Storm Alex.   After bringing up to a foot of rain, and prolific flooding to parts of south Florida, Alex is now in the open waters f the Atlantic.  Winds have increased to 50 mph.  It will pass near or north of Bermuda Monday.  The rest of the tropics are quiet right now.

TODAY:  A hotter day, but not too terribly humid.  High in the lower 90’s.  Once again today, I have the rain chance very low, just under 20%.  Northeast wind at 5 to 10 mph.  Partly cloudy tonight.  Low 69.

Here’s late afternoon Future Radar. Rain chance is not zero…but very small.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   A few spotty random widely scattered storms will start to pop up by Monday afternoon & evening.  We have a hot week ahead.  In fact, mid 90’s are a good bet Tuesday through Thursday.  Scattered storms could be slightly more numerous by Thursday and Friday.    Hot & humid.

TROPICAL STORM ALEX:  Potential Tropical Cyclone One is now east of Florida.  It has become a full-fledged Tropical Storm and is now called Alex.  After dropping about a foot of rain and prolific flooding in south Florida, it has now passed into the open waters of the Atlantic.

I’ll have another update for you in the morning.  Have a nice Sunday!
