THURSDAY Update:  Elevated Rain Chance Continues

Good Morning!  Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.

TODAY:  Our elevated rain chance continues again today. Even in the middle of the night as I type this, radar is quite active.   Mostly cloudy.  Scattered to numerous showers & storms, just about anytime, but especially in the afternoon & evening. Locally heavy downpours.  High 86.     Low tonight 72.   (The Montgomery Airport has had .92″ in the past two days. You may have had a lot more at your house)

Here’s a Future Radar example early this afternoon.  Radar will be quite active today.   The storms will be random again.

NEXT FEW DAYS:      Scattered to numerous showers and storms will continue at least on Saturday. Storms perhaps slightly less numerous Sunday through Wednesday    High temperatures will be held down a notch by clouds and showers.  Highs mainly  in the mid to Upper 80’s through Wednesday.   Lows at night in the low 70’s.  Little day to day change.

.

TROPICAL OUTLOOK:  NHC is still monitoring Invest 99-L in the Bay of Campeche, southwest Gulf of Mexico. They now have a medium 40% chance of development into a Tropical Cyclone in the next 5 days.

The rest of the Atlantic Basin is still quiet.

BEACH FORECAST:  Unfortunately. The elevated rain chances continue the coast through the weekend.  Scattered to numerous storms.  Highs in the middle 80’s.  Gulf Water temperature is still a warm 86.  Moderate Rip Current risk.
