Good Morning! Looks like we’re in for one more dry, comfortable day today. But, if you have outdoor plans for the weekend, be flexible. Our weekend could be quite wet at times. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.
TODAY: Partial sunshine today. Comfortable, breezy, mild. High in the mid 70’s. East wind at 10 to 20 mph. Mostly cloudy, not as cool tonight. Low 58.
NEXT FEW DAYS: The weekend looks wet at times. It won’t rain all weekend, but be flexible with your plans. Best chance of rain is Saturday night and first half of the day Sunday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunny & cooler.
SPC says some stronger storms are possible across SW Alabama and Mississippi Saturday and Saturday night.

WE NEED RAIN:
Here’s a computer model blend on potential weekend rainfall. We need the rain.
The NEW drought monitor map came out yesterday. It shows an escalation especially across extreme south Alabama where moderate and even severe drought levels are starting to expand. Most of the state is “abnormally dry”.
TROPICAL WEATHER: NHC is monitoring two Areas to Watch – one in the Atlantic and one in the Caribbean. That Caribbean system has a 60% chance of development in the next 5 days
