THURSDAY Update: Arctic Outbreak Continues – Freeze Warning Tonight

Good Morning!  Our extended string of chilly days and cold nights continues. Cold, artic air covers most of America.  Frost will be widespread this morning.  We’re headed for a freeze warning tonight.   Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:  Widespread frost early.  Mostly sunny and unseasonably cold today.  High near 50. North wind at 10 to 15 mph.  Mainly clear.  Very cold tonight.  Freeze Warning.   Low 27.

Cold Arctic air covers most of America….coast to coast.

NEXT FEW DAYS:    Chilly days and cold nights continue.   Highs Friday through Sunday generally in the lower 50’s.  Lows at night near or below freezing Saturday through Monday.   Sunshine through the weekend. A dry forecast through Monday.    I’ll include a small chance of rain on Tuesday as a disturbance in the Gulf brushes by the area.

Expect milder air Thanksgiving week.

Here’s the model temperature blend for the next 10 days.  Normal high 71.  Normal Low 43.  Temperatures will be a little more reasonable toward Thanksgiving Week.  A little milder. Well into the 60’s.

The models continue to hint a potential storm system perhaps late on Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving night.
