Good Morning! Chilly start early this morning. But, get ready for a Chamber of Commerce Thursday. Absolutely perfect. Sunshine. Comfortable. Warmer. Not as cool tonight. Back to the 80’s Friday. A powerful storm system will assault several states with Severe Weather Friday. But, it looks like, by the time this front reaches us, it will have lost most of it’s Severe Potential. We may get a break this time, when it arrives Saturday morning. Much of the weekend looks nice. Another storm in the middle of next week needs to be watched. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.
TODAY: Beautiful Thursday. Chilly start – warmer afternoon. Sunshine. High 77. NE wind 5 to 10 becoming southeast in the afternoon. Not as cool tonight low 53.
CLIMATE DATA YESTREDAY: AM low 46. PM High 69. (Normal 75/49)
NEXT FEW DAYS: Warmer Friday. Partly sunny. High in the mid 80’s. Showers and thunderstorms move in overnight Friday night, and first half of the day Saturday. Sunday will be sunny and beautiful. By late Sunday night into Monday, a northward moving warm front could bring in more scattered showers & thunderstorms.
A powerful storm system will assault several states with Severe Weather Friday. But, it looks like, by the time this front reaches us, it will have lost most of it’s Severe Potential. We may get a break this time, when it arrives Saturday morning. Much of the northwest half of our state is in a severe weather risk through 7AM Saturday. All modes of severe weather are on the board including the risk of more tornadoes.
On the distant horizon, we may be about a week away from the next storm system. Too early to say if we will see any strong to severe storms.
BEACH FORECAST: Nice day Friday. Scattered thunderstorms Saturday. Only a small chance of leftover showers Sunday. The Gulf water is still cool….72. HIGH Rip current risk Saturday and Sunday.
