Good Morning! Showers and thunderstorms become likely today, as a Gulf low migrates northward. Much of the area is in a Level 2 severe risk zone. Damaging wind gusts to 60 mph are the main threat. A few brief tornadoes are not out of the questions. The main Severe Weather window runs from 1PM to 7PM. The storms will fade out by late tonight. There could be a few leftover showers first half of the day Friday. Then, expect improvement Friday afternoon through Saturday. Mid 80’s return on Saturday. Another risk of showers returns Saturday night into Sunday. Here’s my brief forecast discussion from the National Tropical Weather Conference, South Padre Island, Florida.
