SATURDAY Update:  Improving Weekend Forecast – Chilly Tonight

Good Morning!  Many towns got wet in the overnight hours as the first of two cold fronts moved through.  Rainfall amounts were fairly light.  Early this morning, before Dawn,  this first  front is south of I-85.  Drier air will overspread the state.   A Secondary cold front will bring in some much cooler air tonight.  Sunday looks nice.  Clouds increase on Monday.  Rain is back in the forecast starting Tuesday and especially Wednesday.  There will be lingering showers Thursday, but nothing  severe.

CLIMATE DATA:   Yesterday we had a cool morning low of 56, and a afternoon high of 82.  (Normal 80/54) Airpprt rainfall: .02”   East Montgomery .05”.

The cold front that brought the showers overnight exits the state early. The second cold front delivers some chilly air for tonight.

The Mid Week Storm System stays south, moving along the northern Gulf Coast. That’ll keep the threat of any stronger storms south of the front along the coast.
