FRIDAY Update:  Updated Weekend Rain Chance

Good morning!  That southward moving front, which moved through the state yesterday has made it to near the coast.  That’s where the best chance of rain will be today.  On Thursday the dewpoints were in the uncomfortable upper 60’s.   Today we get a little break with dewpoints in the 50’s.  This won’t last long.  Dewpoints return to the 60’s tomorrow and near 70 on Sunday.  Not only that.  Expect a dramatic increase in the rain chance by Sunday & Monday.  A more generous supply of storms both days. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

CLIMATE DATA:  Yesterday’s morning low was 67 at MGM.  Afternoon high was 93.  Normal hi/lo:  91 and 68.  Trace of rain at the airport.

TODAY:  Sun/Cloud mix. Hot again, but not as humid.   High  near 90.    Rain chance 20% or less today, but not quite zero. . Northwest  wind 5 to 10 mph.   Partly cloudy tonight.  Low 66.

Future Radar: the front has made it to the coast and that’s where the best chance of rain will be today.

.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  The best chance of rain through Saturday will be closer to the coast.  Many of us will get a brief break from storms.  Expect a dramatic increase in the rain chance by Sunday & Monday.  A more generous supply of storms both days.

BEACH FORECAST:   I would not call it a wash-out, but I have increased the weekend rain chances.  Scattered storms will be roaming around.   Highs in the 80’s.  Gulf water temperature is 83.
