Good Morning! Yesterday, for the first time in weeks the Heat Index did not reach 100. I wish I could say that trend will continue. But, stand by. Today will be dry again with a 102 Heat Index. Then, it’s back to business as usual Thursday and Friday. The humidity will be sky-high again, with the Heat Index edging back to the 105 Danger range and possibly higher. We’ve been dry for a few days. However, those random summertime Big Boomers are back on the menu starting Thursday & Friday. Get ready for a steamy weekend with more hit or miss storms. Welcome to August in Alabama! So far, there’s nothing to worry about in the tropics. That will likely change mid to late month. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.
TODAY: Sunny and HOT. Not too humid, but hot enough. Heat index 102. High 96. Light wind. Low 76. Should be dry today.
Afternoon dewpoints are not too bad today. But that’s about to change. Back to business and usual on Thursday.
NEXT FEW DAYS: The humidity is about to make a big come back. By Thursday and Friday, we’ll be easing back to normal – more humid and random storms will return. The Weekend looks steamy with hit or miss storms. Daily highs well into the 90’s. Lows at night mid 70’s.
