THURSDAY Update:  Extended Dry Pattern – Warm but Comfortable Weekend

Good Morning!  First the bad news.  The rain prospects for at least the next 6 days are awful.  But, if you have big weekend outdoor plans, the news is very good…again.   We are in an extended string of dry days.  The next best chance of showers could be a week away.  Temperatures will be comfortable again today.  That “cool wedge” made for a very comfortable Wednesday.  The weekend temperatures will be warm in the daytime, but with low humidity,  and comfortable at night.  Another great weekend forecast.  Except we need rain.  The Gulf and Florida remains extremely wet and stormy.  But, there are no tropical worries for us in the next several days, fortunately.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:    Cloudy, then eventually some sun  Dry today, again.  High 84. Easterly winds at 6 to 12.  Low tonight 66.   Full Harvest Moon late tonight.

The front in the northern Gulf will keep the best rain chance over the Gulf and Florida.

Once again today, the eastern counties will be cooler, thanks to that “Cool Wedge”.  Wednesday’s high in Montgomery was 83, after 92 on Tuesday.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   We need rain, but we’re going to be dry for the next several days. The next best chance of showers could be a week away.  Temperatures will be comfortable again today.  That “cool wedge” made for a very comfortable Wednesday.  The weekend temperatures will be warm in the daytime, but with low humidity,  and comfortable at night.  Another great weekend forecast.

Below you’ll see the Expected Rainfall map for the next 6 days.  Florida and the northern Gulf get absolutely drenched.  Widespread rain.  Locally heavy.  We stay DRY through at least the next 6 days.  We could see our next rain chance late next week. Maybe.

TROPICAL UPDATE:  In the Atlantic, there is a 50 mph Tropical Storm Phillipe. Weak Phillipe should curve westward over the next several days and bears watching.  Invest 91-L could become a Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm Renia soon.  91-L will develop only if does not get too close to Phillipe.

Thanks for reading this Blog this morning! This morning we are LIVE on the radio from 6 to 9 on NewsTalk 93.1.    I’ll have another update for you in the morning.  Have a nice day!
