FRIDAY  Update:  Extended Dry Pattern – Warm but Comfortable Weekend

Good Morning!  We are on cruise control.  Our storm-free, dry pattern continues, and it looks like we will stay in a uneventful, quite, dry weather pattern for several more days.  Perhaps some showers along a frontal system late next week.  No tropical concerns for us, right now.  Should be another great weekend for outdoor activities. Great for tailgating.   Warm days, but with tolerable humidity, and clear comfortable nights. Beautiful Full Harvest “Supermoon” tonight.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:    Mostly sunny.   Warm but, tolerable humidity. East breeze 6 to 12.  High 89.    Mostly clear and comfortable tonight.  Full Harvest “Supermoon”.  Low 66.

If want rain, go to Florida.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   We need rain, but we’re going to be dry for the next several days. The next best chance of showers could be late next week. Should be another great weekend for outdoor activities. Great for tailgating.   Warm days, but with tolerable humidity, and clear comfortable nights.

DROUGHT MONITOR:  The new Drought Monitor map shows 78% of Alabama under some Drought level, up from 71% last week. 31% of AL is in a moderate drought or higher, especially in south Alabama, including a few Severe or Extreme spots

. There’s no rain in our forecast in the next several  days.

TROPICAL UPDATE:  There are TWO weak tropical storms in the Tropical Atlantic.  Pillipe and Rina.  Both systems are struggling and neither are expected to become a hurricane.  And, neither should threaten any land areas.

Thanks for reading this Blog this morning! This morning we are LIVE on the radio from 6 to 9 on NewsTalk 93.1.    I’ll have another update for you in the morning.  Have a nice day!
