FRIDAY Update:  Warm & Dry Weekend – Colder Next Week – No Rain

Good Morning!  It continues very comfortably warm for late October.  Thursday’s hi/lo was 85/61.  Normal hi/lo 77/50.  Get ready for a warm last weekend of October.  Still dry.  An important cold front swings through the state Monday.  A secondary Cold Front sweeps in Halloween night.   The coldest air of the season is on the way. By Wednesday, Highs only in the 50’s.  A secondary Cold Front sweeps in Halloween night. We could possibly reach the mid 30’s by about Thursday morning.  Unfortunately, it looks like a dry front.  I have a 15% chance of rain, at best,  in the forecast Tuesday.   Otherwise, it looks like a dry forecast for several days. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:   Mostly sunny. (Sun/cloud mix) Comfortable.  High near 85.  SE wind 5 to 10 mph.    Partly cloudy tonight.  Low 61. The big upper High Pressure dome is still in firm control.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   There’s no rain in the forecast for the next several days.   That warmer than normal pattern will continue at least through Sunday.  We’ll be in the mid 80’s over the weekend, with lower 60’s at night.   A Cold Front will sweep through the state Monday.  A secondary Cold Front arrives Tuesday night. Unfortunately, it looks like a dry front.  It will, deliver the coldest air of the season.  We could possibly reach the mid 30’s by about Thursday morning.

Here’s the 10 day temperature guidance.  Get ready for a change of wardrobe.

DROUGHT MONITOR:  The NEW Drought Monitor map is out. Now, 99.56% of the state is in some level of Drought. But, even more shocking 54% of the state is in Severe or Extreme drought level. And, still no rain in the cards for several more days.

There’s no rain on the horizon for several more days.   I’ve got at 15% chance of rain in on Halloween.  Otherwise ZERO every other day.  Here’s the next seven days.

TROPICAL UPDATE:  Post Tropical Tammy still has a 50% chance of re-development in the Atlantic. Of more interest to us, in this part of the world, is the Area to Watch in the Caribbean .
