THURSDAY Update:  Brighter Days Ahead – Weekend Sunshine

Good Morning!   The Gulf of Mexico storm system, that brought the rain, is moving away.  Temperatures will be a little warmer today and Friday.  I’ll mention a tiny chance of showers Friday and Friday night as a Cold Front Approaches.  Saturday could start out cloudy, but gradually sunshine will be the rule much of the weekend.  A “Big Deal” storm system will affect the state in the Monday/Tuesday timeline as Thanksgiving week begins.   As I’ve been saying for a couple of weeks, Severe Weather is possible with this storm system.  ‘Tis the season.  So far, Thanksgiving looks cool and sunny.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:  A better day.. Sun/Cloud mix.  Temperatures will be a little warmer today.  High near 71.  Breezy.  East wind at 11 to 16 mph.  Low tonight 57.

Gulf of Mexico low pressure will start to have less effect on our forecast today.

There could be a few leftover showers today, mostly early in the day.

NEXT FEW DAYS:    I’ll mention the chance of isolated showers late Friday and Friday night, as a cool front slips into the state. High 73.  Saturday starts off cloudy and becomes mostly sunny.  Mostly sunny Sunday.   CHILLY Saturday night.  Low 41.  A “Big Deal” storm system will affect the state in the Monday/Tuesday timeline as Thanksgiving week begins.   As I’ve been saying for a couple of weeks, Severe Weather is possible with this storm system.

Spotty showers ahead of the Cod Front late Friday?

THANKSGIVING WEEK:   Thanksgiving week could start out wet and stormy.  The models continue to depict a very strong system that will effect the state starting Monday into Tuesday.  By Monday evening & night, I would not be surprised if we see a Severe Weather Episode.

Right now, Thanksgiving looks sunny and cool with highs in the 50’s and nighttime lows in the 30’s.

I do not see any arctic air in the next 10 days, be CHILLY late Thanksgiving week.

TROPICAL:  Invest 98-L  in the SW Caribbean will continue to develop.   A tropical Depression could form in the next day or two.

Meanwhile, low pressure is developing  off the SE US coastline.  It is very unlikely this system will become tropical.  But it could become an east coast Nor’Easter with gale winds.

Thanks for reading this Blog this morning! This morning we are LIVE on the radio from 6 to 9 on NewsTalk 93.1.    I’ll have another update for you in the morning.  Have a nice day!
