Good Morning! Today will be the last of this series of dry, mild, un-eventful days. We’re headed back to the 60’s. A carbon copy of yesterday. Winds will pick up. A major Gulf Storm System will dominate the forecast for the entire Southeast US. For us it means rain and gusty winds. This will be a particularly harsh storm system for Florida and the US East Coast, but here in Alabama, we’ll be on the western edge of the main action. The best chance of the heaviest rain will be in SE Alabama and east of the Georgia border. For most of us the highest rain chance will be Saturday night. Winds will be brisk. Much cooler air will follow the storm system, Monday through Wednesday. Here’s my brief forecast discussion, from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
TODAY: Much like yesterday. Mostly sunny and mild. High 64. (Yesterday’s high 65.) Breezy today. Brisk easterly wind 10 to 15, gusting to 20-25 mph. Increasing clouds and chilly tonight. Low 38. (Normal hi/lo 62/39)

Thanks for reading this Blog this morning! I’m going to be on vacation for a few days for Caribbean getaway in the Dominican Republic. My updates to you through Sunday will be rather brief. Have a great day!

This was my view of the Caribbean at Breakfast yesterday, right on the beach, for a place called Shutters.
My lunch view at another Beach restaurant. Had mushroom soup and a tuna steak.
Dinner at a fancy French Polanyian restaurant last night. The Salmon was the best I’ve ever had.
While the weather has been “marginal” at times, I’m certainly enjoying my restaurant tour. Restaurant number 5 for breakfast this morning is a spectacular buffet at The Pier. I have a massage booked at 10AM, with prep starting at 9. Richie is getting pampered.
Meanwhile, Chase back in Montgomery, continues vacationing with hi cousin Briscoe.
