Good Morning! Today should be another good day. Cloudy, but very spring-like. There will be a few showers in north Alabama. But, I think we should be dry locally. Today’s high will be in the low to mid 70’s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms become more likely tomorrow and especially Saturday night through early Monday, along a stalled front. Locally heavy downpours in spots. Heaviest rainfall totals across the northern half of the state. There is a Marginal Severe Risk for most of us Sunday and Sunday night. TODAY: Mostly cloudy. A very mild day. High 74. (Normal 63/39) Southeast wind 6 to 12 mph. Chance of a shower is not zero, but under 20%. Mostly cloudy, very mild tonight. Low 58.
NEXT FEW DAYS: Scattered showers and thunderstorms become more likely tomorrow and especially Saturday night through early Monday, along a stalled front. Locally heavy downpours in spots. We’ll be back in the 60’s Wednesday. Most of next week will be storm-free & dry.
Yet another weekend storm system. A series of impulses will slide eastward along a stalled front. The wettest & stormiest period will be Saturday night through early Monday. The Next storm system will be the following weekend, February 17-18th.
There is a Marginal Severe Risk on Sunday and Sunday night as far east as an Alex City/Troy line. Damaging wind gusts would be the main threat.
