Good morning! An amazing warming trend is underway. We could see our first 80 degree day of 2024 tomorrow, and we could do it again Wednesday. It will turn colder by at least 20 degrees on Thursday and Friday. A quick cold shot. Showers and maybe a thunderstorm will return Wednesday. Then, we get a brief break Thursday, before another shot of rain moves in starting Thursday night, Friday into Saturday. Temperatures will start to recover on Sunday. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.
.
TODAY: Sunshine, and warmer. High near 77. South wind 6 to 12. Increasing clouds tonight. Low 59. (Normal: 67/43)
.
NEXT FEW DAYS: An amazing warming trend is underway.. Expect our first 80 degree day of the year Tuesday. Wednesday we could do it again. Showers and thunderstorms are possible by Wednesday. Severe weather is NOT expected. More rain will move in the Thursday night into Saturday timeframe. It will turn colder by at least 20 degrees on Thursday and Friday. A quick cold shot. This temperature set-back will only last a few days. Looks like we’ll be back in the 70’s by Sunday.
Here’s the 10 day temperature trend. Look for a big warm-up especially early next week, peaking on tomorrow and Wednesday. It will turn much cooler Thursday and Friday. Temperatures start to recover again over the weekend.
Rainfall amounts from the next two disturbances will not be excessive.
A LOOK BACK: So, tomorrow, (2/27) will likely be our first 80° day of 2024. But, this is interesting. Last year we had a significant 11 day Heat Wave. 80+ from February 20th through March 3rd. That’s eleven days. Many of those days were in the mid 80’s. Six of those days were Record Highs. Simply amazing. Do you remember?
The Spring countdown continues!
