THURSDAY UPDATE:   Friday Storm System – Updated Weekend Rain Chance –  Another Frost Threat Early Next week

Good morning!  The weather news in the short term continues very good.  Today will be another great day, as the warming trend continues. Nights are not be as chilly.   Yesterday’s high was 77. Today, our high will be near 82. It will be at least partly sunny today.  Periods of rain and thunderstorms return Friday, perhaps beginning in the overnight hours tonight. On Saturday, the rain chance will be tiny.  Highest rain probabilities Friday and Sunday. Friday’s Severe Threat Level 1 out of 5.  It will turn quite a but colder again by the start of next week.  We could fall into the mid 30’s a couple by Tuesday AM.  Yet another frost threat.  Could some towns tease the freeze mark?  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY: Partly sunny.  Warmer.  High near 82.  (Normal 71/46)  South wind 5 to 10 mph.  Cloudy tonight.  Dry through the evening.  Risk of scattered showers and storms could develop  in the overnight hours.  Low 63.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Periods of rain and thunderstorms return Friday, perhaps beginning in the overnight hours tonight. Front approaches.  Low end Marginal Severe Risk Friday. Damaging wind gusts the main threat.

Rainfall will not be nearly excessive as the storm system last week. Mainly 1-2″ for most of us.

Here’s the 10 day temperature trend.  Expect yet another frost risk Monday Night/Tuesday AM.  Could some towns tease a late season freeze?  Average day of the last freeze has already past (MGM): March 8.   Last freeze last year was March 20.  The last time we’ve been to the freeze mark this year was February 20th.
