FRIDAY UPDATE:  – Better News – Lower Humidity – Good Weekend Forecast

Good Morning!  The weather news is getting better. The front that brought the showers will reach the coast by this afternoon.  There will be some much welcomed lower humidity. In fact, dewpoints will be in the 50’s this afternoon and tomorrow.  Tonight’s low of 62 will feel nice.  Enjoy this brief break.  By Sunday, Monday and Tuesday we will be returning to the “standard” forecast. Widely scattered random PM storms will return.  Along with the heat and humidity. The tropics are quiet for now.  But, we could be only a few days away from some activity in the Caribbean and Gulf.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:   Mosty sunny.  Less humidity.  High near 90.  Mostly clear.  Pleasantly cool tonight.  Low 63.  Light wind.

Get ready for some BRIEF RELIEF. Dewpoints are in the low 70’s this morning, But behind that southward moving front, expect dewpoints in the 50’s by this afternoon and Saturday afternoon. Enjoy, because it won’t last long.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Expect lower humidity today through Saturday.  Widely scattered storms are possible Sunday through Wednesday. Highs in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s.

TROPICAL:   NHC says no tropical development in the next 7 days.

The EURO and GFS continue to hint that we need to watch the Caribbean starting late next week and beyond.

BEACH FORECAST:  Routine June forecast.  Widely scattered random storms are possible today and Sunday.  Highs in the Upper 80’s.  Gulf water 84.  Moderate Rip Current Risk.

Thanks for reading the blog. There will be another complete Blog update and video forecast discussion tomorrow morning.  This morning, everything is normal including LIVE on the Radio from 6 to 9AM on NewsTalk 93.1 – WACV.  Have a nice weekend!
