TUESDAY UPDATE:  Hotter Days Ahead – Dry for Now

Good Morning!  The official first day of summer is 9 days away.  But, we are deep into the summer pattern.  Alabama is getting hotter.  While today is likely to get in he lower 90’s, with tolerable humidity.  But, get ready.  It looks like we’ll be in the middle 90’s tomorrow through Friday.  And, we may be in the upper 90’s by Saturday.  Our forecast is dry for now.  The daily rain chance through Saturday, while not zero, should be under 20%.  It may be Sunday before random widely scattered afternoon and evening storms return.  Meanwhile, could se see some Gulf tropical development over the weekend? Here’s my brief forecast Discussion.

TODAY:  Mostly sunny and hot, but with tolerable humdity.  High in the lower 90’s.  Light wind.  Mainly clear tonight.  Low 67.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Alabama will be getting hotter.

We’re dry through Saturday, as deep tropical moisture drenches Florida.

TROPICAL:   NHC says no tropical development in the next 7 days.  HOWEVER…

Over the weekend, it appears we’ll be watching potential tropical activity in the Gulf. Right now, it appears this activity will be confined to the western Gulf. Here’s the EURO model Tropical Depression Probability days through 10.

Thanks for reading the blog.  Today is a travel day for me. I’ll be on an early morning flight.  Heading to the American Meteorological Conference in Myrtle Beach for the rest the week.  My updates from the next few mornings will come from Myrtle Beach.
