FRIDAY UPDATE: Hotter and Hotter – Random Storms Return

Good Morning! Get ready for some hotter days.  We’ll be in the upper 90’s Saturday through Tuesday.  The heat index will reach and surpass the triple digit level.  Showers will be scarce again, at best today.  Widely Scattered storms will return Saturday and Sunday. Perhaps, more numerous on Monday & Tuesday. Off the Southeast US coastline, NHC is monitoring Invest 92-L.  This area of showers and storms could briefly become a Depression before reaching the coast Saturday. Another Area to Watch in the SW Gulf has a chance to possibly become a Tropical Storm. Right on the heels of Alberto, which came ashore yesterday.   Here’s my brief forecast Discussion.

TODAY:   Mostly sunny.  High 95. Humidity not crazy.  Dewpoints in the mid to upper 60’s.   Heat index under 100. Rain chance 10% or less.    East wind 6 to 12 mph.  Low tonight. 73.

NEXT FEW DAYS: Get ready for some hotter days. Wednesday will be the wettest days.   Showers and storms will be more numerous. Lows at night in the middle 70’s.

Again, you can see,  all the very heavy rain will stay out in the Gulf and across Florida over the next few days.

TROPICAL UPDATE:   Off the Southeast US coastline, NHC is monitoring Invest 92-L.  This area of showers and storms could briefly become a Depression before reaching the coast Saturday.
