TUESDAY  UPDATE:  Heat Advisory Extended – Scattered Random Downpours

Good Morning!  The big weather story continues to be the HEAT.  A Heat Advisory has been extended for one more day. The Heat Index will be near or above the 105 Danger Level. Like yesterday, there will be a generous supply of random storms, especially this afternoon and this evening.   This week, the best rain probabilities will be Thursday through Saturday.  Showers and storms will become much more numerous, thanks to a frontal system that will approach the state and then stall right over the state, Thursday through the weekend.  Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY: HEAT ADVISORY extended. Sun/cloud mix. High near 96.  Dangerous Heat advisory 105+.  Scattered random hit or miss storms, especially afternoon and evening. Low tonight 75.

Widespread heat has once again promoted Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings for a multi-state area.  The Heat index will be in the 105-110 danger range.

Again today a generous Spotty Random PM storms will populate the radar.

NEXT FEW DAYS: Expect scattered  to numerous random, pop up,“hit or miss” storms to increase by mid and late week, This week, the best rain probabilities will be Thursday through Saturday.  Showers and storms will become much more numerous, thanks to a frontal system that will approach the state and then stall right over the state, Thursday through the weekend.  Highs will be in the mid 90’s Wednesday.  But, the increase of showers and storms will help lower highs just a notch to lower 90’s Thursday through Sunday.

Here’s the 10 day Model Blend Temperature Trend.  The extreme heat will ease a bit.  The increase of showers and storms will help lower highs just a notch to lower 90’s Thursday through Sunday.

TROPICAL UPDATE:.  For now, the rest of the Atlantic, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico continue quiet.

Right now Tropical Dust is quieting activity in the Tropical Atlantic for now.
