Storm-Free and Tolerable August Pattern

Good Morning! Our quiet August weather pattern continues. The chance of a shower today is not zero, but is very small. Early this morning a Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Bullock county. Days are still hot, but the humidity is very tolerable. Nights are comfortable. The weekend looks dry and next week looks hotter, with upper level high  pressure building over us. The storm-free pattern continues for several more days.  The tropics continue quiet for now. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY: Cloudy at times. Nice breeze Isolated showers possible.  Tolerable Humidity.   High 89.  East wind 10 to 15, Tonight:   Clear, comfortably cool. Low tonight 66.

Some models suggest isolated showers today.

. TROPICAL:    The tropical Atlantic, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico is amazingly quiet, for now.

Meanwhile, the eastern and central Pacific continues very busy.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Sunshine will dominate. Highs will be in the low to mid 90’s daytime.   Nights will continue very comfortable for August.  It’s essentially a dry forecast for the next several days.
