TUESDAY UPDATE: Cooler Days – Colder Nights

Good morning!  The coolest air of the season is settling into the area.  The next 3 nights will be well below normal.  By Thursday morning we’ll be close to 40 degrees. Highs will only be in the 60’s Wednesday and Thursday. The Canadian chill will fade by the weekend. We’ll be back to the upper 70’s by Saturday & Sunday, and the 80’s next week.  again this week. It’s dry forecast for several more days. .  In the Tropics, we’re watching Invest 94-L, and there’s a new Area to Watch in the west Caribbean.   Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:  Sunshine.  Breezy & cooler.  High near 74-76. NW wind 8-14 gusting to  20 mph.  Clear chilly tonight.  Colder.  Low near 44.  (Normal hi/Lo 81/55) 

NEXT FEW DAYS:   It’s a dry forecast for several days.  Highs will only be in the 60’s Wednesday and Thursday.  The next 3 nights will be well below normal.  By Thursday morning we’ll be close to 40 degrees. The Canadian chill will fade by the weekend. We’ll be back to the upper 70’s by Saturday & Sunday. 

Temperatures by Wednesday night will be running about 15 degrees below normal. 

The 10 Day Model Blend Temperature Trend. The chill won’t last long.  Expect a weekend warm-up.  We’ll be back to the 80’s next week.  

TROPICAL UPDATE:  Invest 94-L has a very good chance of future development as it heads to the islands.  The next available name Nadine.  Also, there’s a new Area to Watch in the west Caribbean. 

The models clearly indicate a future threat to the islands, including the greater Antilles. 

There are some models that take this to Hurricane intensity.  We’ll see.
