WEEKEND UPDATE: DecemBRRRR

Good morning!  It’s CHILLY.  But, some of the coldest air in this current Arctic Outbreak hasn’t even arrived yet.  We are sub-freezing this morning.  And, it looks like we’ll have at least 4 more mornings in the 20’s. The coldest day will be Monday, with a high near 50.  Coldest morning will be Tuesday with mid 20’s.  Temperatures will start to turn around mid and late week, next week.   The next chance of showers arrives Thursday.   

TODAY:  Sunny and cool.  High 55.  Northwest wind 6 to 12 mph.  Clear and cold tonight.  Low 28.

Chilly day at today’s Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa.   Sunny and chilly.  Kickoff temp near 50.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Cold days and sub-freezing nights will continue.  Coldest air will be in place Monday and Tuesday. Sub-freezing nights in the mid and upper 20’s continue through Tuesday.  Temperatures will start to turn around mid and late week, next week.   The next chance of showers arrives Thursday.

The 2024 Hurricane Season ends tomorrow, and what a record breaking season it was on so many levels. There were five landfalling Hurricanes in the US, causing more than 150 deaths. The 2024 season was one of the costliest on record, estimating it caused approximately $500 billion in total damages and economic losses.
