Good morning! For the next several days, Winter is on hold. An extended string of milder days and nights are in our future. Today will be warmer than yesterday. We are headed for the mid and upper 60’s. Thursday will be warmer. The next storm system will bring showers and thunderstorms back to our forecast on Friday. Timing is everything. Right now, the weekend looks pretty nice. Dry and mild, as January ends and February begins. Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.
TODAY: Limited sunshine. Mild. High 66. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Mostly cloudy tonight. Low 46.

NEXT FEW DAYS: We should be dry through Thursday. The next chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives Friday. The weekend looks dry and nice. We will likely reach the 70’s Thursday and Friday. The weekend will be comfortable and dry.
Here’s the set-up for Friday as a major storm system moves through the eastern United States. The Storm Prediction Center has added a Marginal Severe Risk for southeast Alabama. Mainly this covers the area south of I-85 and east of I-65. Damaging wind gusts are the main threat. There is a non-zero tornado risk.
