MONDAY Update:  Parade of Storm Systems -Very Wet Pattern

Good morning!  Major pattern change this week.  It’s a very active, very wet pattern, as a Parade of Storm Systems line up one after another,  Part on tomorrow.  There may even be a few widely scattered showers today. Total rainfall in the week ahead could be easily 2-4”.  Parts of north Alabama could receive 6-8”. The wet weather pattern will stick around through next weekend. Temperatures will obviously be cooler than recently.  We’ll be in the 70’s most days.  Some day will only in the 60’s.   It will be even colder than that by next Monday.  Here’s my brief video forecast discussion. 

TODAY:   Mostly cloudy and cooler.  Isolated showers possible.  Cooler.  High 66.  North wind 5 to 10,   Low tonight 55.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  Wet and active.  Storm system after storm system after storm system for several days.  Rain every day.  Some day more than other.  There may even be a few widely scattered showers today. Total rainfall in the week ahead could be easily 2-4”.  Parts of north Alabama could receive 6-8”. The wet weather pattern will stick around through next weekend. Temperatures will obviously be cooler than recently.  We’ll be in the 70’s most days.  Some day will only in the 60’s.   Wet through Sunday.

Needless to say, we are in Severe Weather Season here in Alabama and across the Gulf South. SPC has highlighted MUCH of Alabama in a Severe Weather Risk for Saturday, including the risk of tornadoes Saturday. Parts of west Alabama could even see a severe risk late Wednesday. Here’s the 10 day model blend temperature trend.  Obvisoloy a much cooler pattern.  That series of record highs is OVER.
