Good morning! Very Cold Arctic Air will dominate our forecast for at least 2-3 days. The Coldest mornings will be this morning and tomorrow morning. By Dawn, this morning, we’ll be close to 24 with a wind chill near 12. The Coldest day will be today. Today’s high will struggle to reach 41, but you’ll swear it’s colder, with wind gusting as high as 25 mph, Friday will be the coldest morning with a morning low of 20 and a wind chill 10-12. The weekend will start to show a recovery with highs in the 50’s. We’ll be in the 60’s Monday, and the 70’s next Tuesday & Wednesday. It’s a dry forecast after this morning. It’s a dry forecast. TODAY: COLD WEATHER ADVISORY. Morning low at Dawn, mid 20’s. Wind Chill low to mid teens. Very cold today. High 41. Northwest wind gusting as high as 25 mph will add insult to injury. At Noon, wind chill may still be in the 20’s. Clear and frigid tonight. Low near 20 by Dawn Friday. Wind chill could reach the lower teens.
We are just getting a tiny sample of the extremely cold air covering much of America, if that’s any consolation. Here’s a 3AM National Wind Chill Sample. Notice Nashville at 4, Little Rock 0, Dallas -1 and -46 at Valentine, Nebraska. Our wind chill, by comparison is a “piece of cake.”
