MONDAY Update:  Nice Warming Trend This Week

Good morning! Early this morning, there’s rain on the radar. A Gulf coast disturbance will exit early. The weather news is getting much better. We’ve been talking about this big turnaround for quite a while. The Arctic chill is history.  A major warming trend is underway. We’ll be in the 60’s today and the 70’s Tuesday and Wednesday. The next chance of showers returns Thursday as a front approaches.  Nice weather returns Friday and Saturday. It will be a little cooler Friday.  Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.

TODAY:  Risk of showers will exit early. Today starts off Mostly Cloudy. Gradually sunshine later.  Light wind.  High 66.  Partly cloudy tonight.  Low 42.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  It’s a dry forecast through mid-week.  A big warm up is underway. We’ll be into the lower 70’s Tuesday and mid Wednesday. Scattered showers  returns Thursday as a front approaches.  Nice and comfortable weather returns Friday and Saturday.

Next chance of rain will be on Thursday. No severe weather is expected.

Here’s the 10 day model blend temperature trend.  I do not see any Arctic Air, thankfully.

Next interesting storm system could be in the middle of next week..

There’s no doubt about it. Strsospheric warming at the North Pole and displacement of the Polar Vortex has made much of the USA colder and snowier this winter than many years. Everybody seems to be excited about the impending big warm-up this week. But hang on. Once again there are strong clues it could happen again in March. Yet another Strsospheric warming event. Stand by, because we may have not seen the last Arctic Plunge of the season

The vernal Equinox is getting closer and closer.

Thanks for reading this special blog update. This morning everything is normal.  We’ll be LIVE on NewsTalk 93.1.  There will be another Blog Update and Forecast Video discussion in the 4’o’clock hour tomorrow morning.  Have a good day.
