Good Morning! It’s a chilly Tuesday morning. But, expect a warmer day today. With plenty of sunshine, we’ll be back to the upper 70’s today and lower 80’s Wednesday. The next chance of rain holds off until late Wednesday night. Showers and thunderstorms. It will turn quite a bit cooler Thursday, behind the cold front. Highs may not make it out of the 50’s. And, Attention Alabama growers, patchy frost is a good bet Friday morning. It will be warmer again by the weekend. Another chance of showers and storms arrives Sunday night. Could there be some stronger storms with this system? Perhaps. Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.
TODAY: Sunshine, and warmer. High 77, South wind 5 to 10 mph. Mostly clear tonight. Low 45.

.
NEXT FEW DAYS: TheNice warm-up continues Wednesday. Near 81 by Wednesday. The next cold front brings more rain late Wednesday night, but probably not Severe Weather this time. It will turn sharply breezy and cooler Thursday. Patchy frost is a good bet Friday morning. It will be warmer again by the weekend. Another chance of showers and storms arrives Sunday night.

Here’s the 10 day model blend temperature trend. The coolest day will be Thursday. Coldest morning Friday – with areas of frost.

NEXT BIGGER DEAL?: The next bigger deal storm system might Sunday night. Already SPC has northwest Alabama in a Level 1 Marginal Severe Risk. We’re watching.

TORNADO SURVEYS: NWS Surveys on the weekend storm system are now complete. Looks like nine total tracks surveyed by BMX and one more Alabama track near the TN line. The most notable is the Dallas/Autauga/Chilton long track EF-3. That’s the one that killed 2 in Plantersville. Also, an EF-2 was surveyed in Talladega county, and and EF-2 near Gordo and one more in Pike county.

Nationwide – about 67 tornadoes touched down from this storm system since Friday. The death toll is at least 40 – three in Alabama.
POLLEN: Still HIGH next few days.
