FRIDAY  Update:  Heat Advisory Continues – Weekend Temperature Relief –  PM Storms

Good morning!  Welcome to August!  The Heat Advisory continues for one more day today.  Heat index today will be near the 105 range.  Expect more Scattered to numerous random storms. A frontal system will move southward through the state.  The front will stall near the coast by Sunday.  The risk of scattered storms remains in the forecast this weekend. Temperatures will be much more reasonable with highs in the 80’s by Sunday through the following Tuesday.  Mid 80’s on Sunday.  Lower 80’s by Monday.  A really nice change.  Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.

TODAY:  HEAT ADVISORY continues.   Sun/cloud mix.   High near 95.  Heat index as high near 105. Random Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms today.   Low tonight 75.

HEAT ADVISORY Continues in effect for one more day today.  Heat index today will be in the dangerous 105+ range. 

A southward moving front will be the focus for scattered to numerous storms today.  The front will be parked at the coast on Sunday.

FUTURE RADAR:  Random scattered to numerous showers and storms, fueled by the heat and southward moving front.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   Scattered to numerous random storms are back in forecast each day through the weekend. Temperatures will start to be more reasonable over the weekend.  Mid 80’s by Sunday.  Lower 80’s by Monday.  A nice change.

Wet times across the southeast US over the next few days. .

TROPICAL OUTLOOK:  NHC is not tracking any systems right now, but the EURO model show multiple areas that need to be monitored.   In fact the model is screaming about future development off the US East Coast, and another area in the northern Gulf along that stalled front.

BEACH OUTLOOK:  A stalled front near the coast will promote scattered showers and storms.  Gulf water temperature is 87.  Moderate Rip current risk.
