FRIDAY Update:  Hot through Saturday – Then Relief Ahead

 Good morning!  Endless summer continues. The heat is on for now.  We’ll be in the today middle 90’s today and Saturday. Sunday will be cooler and less humid behind a cold front. By Monday and Tuesday highs will be in the mid 80’s.   Today and Saturday the rain chance is not zero but very small. Random widely scattered storms at best. We have no tropical concerns in this part of the world this week, even though we are approaching the peak of the season. The EURO model shows the tropics coming alive mid-month. Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.

TODAY:  Sun/Cloud mx. Only isolated/widely scattered mainly PM showers and storms.  Light wind.  High 95.  Mostly clear tonight.  Low 73.   Best chance of showers today will be across the northern counti

SPC says some north Alabama storms could reach Severe Limits.

NEXT FEW DAYS:  We’ll be in the  middle 90’s today through Saturday. Sunday will be cooler and less humid behind a cool front. By Monday and Tuesday highs will be in the mid 80’s.  Widely scattered showers/storms through Saturday.  Then, back to a dry forecast.   

An approaching cool front will deliver heat relief by about Sunday and beyond.

TROPICAL OUTLOOK:    Invest 91-Lin the tropical Atlantic is a westward moving Tropical wave.  NHC gives this Area a 90% chance of development. A depression is likely over the weekend.

The EURO signals that the tropics will really come alive by the middle of the month.
