Good Morning!. An Upper Level High Pressure Warm Dome is still in control of our weather. It’s not only warm, we’re in for a couple of record breaking days across the South. Record highs will fall across the South Today and Thursday. The nights continue to moderate. We’ll be in the 50’s at night for the rest of the week. Normal hi/lo 69/42. The drought continues to grow worse. We have dry forecast through Thursday night. The best rain prospects arrives on Friday afternoon, and especially Friday evening/night and into early Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms. Unfortunately, rainfall amounts for the southeast half of our state will likely be very disappointing. TODAY: Sunshine. High 81. Light wind. Mostly clear, Not as cold, with a low around 57.

NEXT FEW DAYS: Spring-time in November continues. Thursday’s Record High (at MGM) of 81 from 1901 is likely to be exceeded. Even the nights are mild for November with lows in the 50’s. We’ll be in the 50’s at night for the next several days. Normal hi/lo 69/42. The best rain prospects arrives on Friday, and especially Friday evening/night and into early Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms. Sunday and Monday look dry.

Record highs will fall across the South particularly today and Thursday. The MGM record on Thursday is 81 from 1901.

Here’s expected rainfall through the next 5 days. Unfortunately, rainfall amounts for the southeast half of our state will likely be very disappointing.

Here’s the 10 Day Model Temperature Trend. It will turn sharply cooler from Black Friday through the Iron Bowl weekend.

THANKSGIVING WEEK: The global models are in better agreement now. The Thanksgiving week storm system/front will arrive and depart faster. Showers and storms become likely by Tuesday night into Wednesday morning before frontal passage.
