THURSDAY Update:  Future ARCTIC BLAST

Good Morning!  Over the next 6 days or so – expect lots of temperature ups and down. For instance, yesterday’s high was 65.  Today’s high 53.  High Friday and Saturday in the mid 60’s.  But, get ready for a BIG change 3-4 days away.  A Cold Front will enter Alabama Saturday night.  Showers will proceed the front in the Sunday morning pre-dawn hours.  Sunday will be a day of falling temperatures as Pure Arctic Air Floods into our state.  Sunday night/Monday Dawn will be FRIGID.  An Arctic shocker.  Low in the low 20’s.  Wind Chill in the lower teens. Get ready for an Arctic slap in the face. Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.

TODAY:   Sunny and much cooler. High near 53. NW wind 8 to 14 mph.   TONIGHT: Clear, with a low around 33.

NEXT FEW DAYS:    Lots of BIG temperature swings are in our future. High Friday and Saturday in the mid 60’s. Monday’s high will struggle to reach in the lower 40’s.

Okay.  Here you go.  Arctic Air will feel rather severe especially by Monday morning.  Ready or not here it comes.

Here’s the expected rainfall map through Sunday.  Showers will proceed the cold front in the Sunday morning pre-dawn hours.

The 10 Day model blend temperature trend.  The big arctic plunge starts Sunday.  And, especially Sunday night/Monday AM.

Here’s the 16 from  the Euro model.  Look at Christmas week could we see some 70 degree weather?   Am I comfortable about a Christmas Day forecast.  NOPE.  Not yet.

Thanks for reading this Blog this morning. This morning we are LIVE on the radio from 6 to 9 on NewsTalk 93.1.  I’ll have another update for you in the 4  o’clock hour tomorrow morning.  Have a nice day.
