Good Morning! Today’s Record High of 83 from 1891 may be safe, but our expected high of 80-82 will definitely put us in the neighborhood. We’ll flirt with 80 again on Friday. Winds will gust to 25- 30 mph at times today and tonight. It should be mainly dry today with showers holding off till the overnight hours tonight. Showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday, and especially Saturday & Saturday night, ahead of a cold front. There is a Severe weather Risk for north Alabama on Friday. And the Level 1 Marginal Severe Risk shifts to south Alabama Saturday. Damaging wind gusts are the main threat. Tornadoes can’t be ruled out. Then get ready for a huge temperature plunge starting Sunday. Monday’s high may not make it to 50. We’ll be in the mid 20’s by dawn Tuesday. Quite a reality check again. Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.
