Good morning! Temperatures continue warm at least through today. Yesterday’s high was 83. Today – clouds will give way to sunshine. High 86. (Normal 74/48)
A cool front sweeps through the state through this evening. Tonight becomes windy, and several degrees cooler. The weekend will be mostly clear and noticeably cooler, as we fall back to the 70’s for highs with cool, jacket-weather nights. Temperatures start to rebound again by Monday. The forecast is dry at least through the middle of next week. After that – the models advertise that we may start to ease into a much more active weather pattern. April could be “busy”. Here’s my brief video forecast discussion.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 86.
West wind 5 to 10 mph.
(Normal 74/48)
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Colder. Low around 51. West wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
SATURDAY: Breezy and rather cool. High 71. Winds gusting to 30 mph. FIRE WEATHER WATCH in effect due to low humidity, dry conditions and gusty winds.

NEXT FEW DAYS: The forecast continues very quiet. Uneventful for now. The weekend will be mostly clear and noticeably cooler, as we fall back to the 70’s for highs with cool, jacket-weather nights. Temperatures start to rebound again by Monday. The forecast is dry at least through the middle of next week

The rainfall outlook through April 1st continues dry. However, very soon, the pattern may start to get much more active.

More active pattern ahead. Looking more and more active starting close to the first April weekend.

The 10 Day model Blend Temperature Trend. Cool weekend followed by rebound next week.

The 16 Day EURO Ensembles.

BEACH FORECAST: Looks like a nice weekend. Cool, but not as cool as last weekend. Still chilly Gulf water. Moderate rip current risk especially from Destin eastward.

POLLEN FORECAST: Still some very high number for the next few days. No end in sight.
