Good Morning! Drier air is moving in just in time for Halloween. It’ll be cloudy this morning, with partial sunshine later. Look for a nice warm-up in the week ahead. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.
TODAY: DENSE FOR ADVISORY for many of this morning. Otherwise not a bad Halloween Forecast.
Cloudy this morning, partly sunny later. Cool. High 74. Dry for the tricker treaters with evening temperatures falling into the 60’s and then the 50’s. Partly cloudy overnight.
Today, the threat of rain shifts to the east coast.
HALLOWEEN HISTORY: This is the 44th Halloween I’ve covered for you and we’ve had some wild spooky weather over the years, including a Tropical Storm in 1985, the earliest snowfall and record cold 29 degrees in 1993. And, a Record High of 90 in 2016! #alwx
NEXT FEW DAYS: Nice warming trend this week. Sunny and nice Tuesday through Friday, as the month of November begins. Mid 70’s Tuesday. Highs in the upper 70’s Wednesday & Thursday. We’ll be near 80 on Friday. Still dry. Storm-free through Saturday.
A ridge of high pressure in the upper atmosphere will set to stage for some much warmer storm-free days this week.
TROPICAL WEATHER: NHC is monitoring Potential Tropical Storm 15 in the Caribbean. It’s headed toward Central America and it will not be a concern in this part of the world. It will get the name LISA and should become a hurricane before landfall.
