HALLOWEEN UPDATE: Cool Halloween – Clear Sailing Next Few Days

Good Morning!  October will end on a very cool note.  Our weekend cool-snap continues.  Today won’t be quite as cool as yesterday.  Sunshine will overtake some early clouds.  Looks like some nice days ahead as we start to month of November tomorrow.  Sunshine will dominate.  Highs will be in the comfortable lower 70’s.  Nights will be chilly.  Upper 40’s.  Next rain risk arrives with a cold front on Thursday.

CLIMATE DATA: Saturday’s high 60, morning low 54. (Normal 75/48) Rainfall: TRACE of rain Saturday. October rainfall total: 6.00″ (+3.23 above). Rainfall for the year, so far: 47.22 (+8.05 above)

TODAY:   Chilly start. Clouds early, will give way to sun.  Not quite as cool.  High near 70.  (Normal high 76). Northwest wind 6 to 12.  Mainly clear and cold tonight.  Low by Dawn 46.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   Expect a nice stretch of days Monday through Wednesday.  Good bit of sunshine each day.  Highs mostly in the lower 70’s.  Showers and thunderstorms are possible as the next front moves through.  Sharply cooler again late next week and through the first weekend of November.

The late week Cold Front may usher in the first nights in the 30’s this season.  Take a look at the Euro numbers.

HALLOWEEN HISTORY:   I have now covered your Halloween weather for 43 years now, and there have been some pretty wild, pretty spooky weather.  Wildest, by far the most incredible was in 1993.  We had snow flurries and a low of 29 degrees.  No accumulation, but it was Montgomery’s earliest snow in history.  Five years ago, we had 90 degrees on Halloween.

I’ll have a complete video in the morning.  Enjoy your Sunday!
