TUESDAY Update:   Trick or Treat? – Brisk Halloween – Freeze Warning Wed. Night

Good Morning! It’s not a Trick, and you decide if it’s a treat.  Today will be a much cooler Halloween.  It will be nearly 20 degrees cooler than yesterday. Could be a few sprinkles early this morning.  A brisk breeze, today,  will make the 61 degree high seem even cooler. A secondary Cold Front arrives tonight.  We could possibly reach the mid 30’s by Dawn tomorrow morning.  Tomorrow  will be the coldest day of the season so far, as November begins.   Wednesday’s high will not make it out of the 50’s with brisk winds.  Freeze Warning Wednesday night. We’ll be near 30 by dawn Thursday.  On Saturday and Sunday we are back to the mid 70’s. Here’s my brief forecast discussion.

TODAY:   (Isolated AM Shower?)Brisk today.  Windy and much cooler.  High 62.  NW wind 10 to 22 mph.  Breezy and much colder tonight.  Low by dawn mid 30’s.  A Fire Watch and a Red Flag Warning  continues in effect today and Wednesday due to drought conditions, combined with low humidity and brisk winds.  (Normal high 76 – Low 49)

NEXT FEW DAYS:   A secondary Cold Front arrives tonight.  The first day of November, tomorrow, will be quite brisk.  Windy and cold.  After a morning low in the 30’s, we won’t make it out of the 50’s.  Wind will make it seem colder.   Freeze Warning Wednesday night. We’ll be near 30 by dawn Thursday.  On Saturday and Sunday we are back to the mid 70’s.

COLD SNAP:  Much of the middle and eastern part of our nation will shiver with this first Arctic intrusion.

   The strangest one of all –  30 years ago today.  1993…Record low of 29…and Scattered Snow Flurries on and off much of the day… Trace of snow Earliest snowfall in the city’s history.  

TROPICAL UPDATE:NHC is tracking Invest 96-L  in the Caribbean.  A tropical Depression could form in the west Caribbean later this week.  70% chance of development.
