Beautiful weather is on tap today for Winter’s last day. After a chilly start, we will be near 70 this afternoon. Perfect Sunday weather. Sunshine will dominate. Sunrise 6:49, Sunset 6:56. Low tonight 46.
Look at the warmth today from the Gulf South to record highs in the Plains state.
SPRING BEGINS: Tomorrow is the vernal equinox – equal day and night at the equator. Spring officially begins when the direct rays of the sun cross the equator. That happens at 5:29AM our time Monday morning.
WEEK AHEAD: Spring begins on a very warm note, indeed. Highs will peak in the low 80’s Tuesday. Spotty showers possible Wednesday. Cooler late week.
SEVERE WEATHER THREAT: We’ve been watching this for several days. A potent storm system will move into the state Saturday. Global models disagree on the exact time table and the details, but severe storms are certainly possible and we will monitor this storm system through the week ahead. More about this on my next video which will be online by tomorrow morning at 5.
