This is not what you want to hear.. An approaching front, interacting with the Remnants of Cindy will produce a lot of showers and thunderstorms in the state today. It won’t rain all the time, but your odds of occasionally getting wet are very good. There will be some tropical downpours which could produce another inch of rain in spots, today & this evening. The news gets better for many of us tomorrow. The front will reach the coast, and the showers will thin out across south Alabama. Some really nice air filters in behind the front for Monday & Tuesday.
Just a sample of a couple of Future Radar snapshots. Don’t take these literally, this is just one model idea. Our weather app, with radar and future radar will keep you on top of changes during the day.
NEXT FEW DAYS: Rain chances are strongest today, but then showers shift to south Alabama and the coast Sunday, and some really nice weather finally comes in for Monday and Tuesday.
NICE AIR AHEAD: It’s about time. Finally, Alabama will get a chance to dry out, with some sunshine, and lower humidity in place on Monday and Tuesday. Just what the doctor ordered.
Hang on!
Showers will return later in the week.
Right now, the tropics are quiet. I don ‘t see any new tropical system in the next few days.
Have a nice weekend.
