Good Morning! After 70 degrees on New Years Day it’s another mild day. One again umbrellas are needed. Our wet pattern continues for about 3 more days until we get a break. A stalled front in south Alabama spells more rain. The next risk of heavier rain and some thunderstorms will arrive before this week is over. I’ll update the time line. We’ll look at potential additional rain totals. And, are you ready for sunshine? I’ll show you a strong of some very nice days in the not too distant future. Where’s winter? We’ll look two weeks into the future.
Stalled front across south Alabama will continue to act as a conveyor belt for more disturbances. Another wet and mild day today.
The next big weather maker…a storm system in Louisiana will move northeastward with another surge of rain and a few thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday.
Additional rainfall amounts through Friday of 1.5 to 2″+ will further aggravate the river flooding potential here in Alabama.
After the rain, comes a series of NICE days and the return of sunshine starting Saturday.
Where’s winter? The computer models, thankfully, shows no harsh winter weather on the menu next two weeks.
