Good Morning! Radar was quite active yesterday. Today there will be another round of showers and storms. Not every town will get one. Over the weekend, the pattern will evolve into a more typical June pattern. It will be a hot and humid weekend with fewer storms to go around. I have the updated the rain chances for here and the Gulf coast, and we’ll check the tropics.
Scattered Heat Relief today. A complex or cluster of storms may develop and move across the area this afternoon. A couple of stronger storms are possible.
Over the weekend, the number of storms will “thin out”. Not as many storms to go around.
The weather at the Beach this weekend will be relatively routine. Yesterday and today RED flags have been flying. High rip current risk. That’s expected to be reduced to a moderate risk this weekend. Please observe the flags on the beach.
Currently the Tropics are quiet, but over the next 7-10 days, we’ll be monitoring the western Gulf for possible development.
