Good Morning! No big surprises today. Hot, humid with random PM storms. Storms will be widely scattered today. Over the weekend storms will be scattered. Temperatures will gradually get hotter. In fact, I think we’ll be in the middle 90’s by Sunday & Monday and triple digit heat indices will return. If you’re headed south to the coast this weekend, I had to take the weekend rain chance higher, near that stalled front. In the tropics, things are getting more interesting. Could we see tropical development over the weekend?
Today will be much like yesterday. High near or above 90. Random PM storms. Best rain chance will be closer to the coast near that stalled front.
Routine weekend forecast. Scattered random storms. Temperatures will edge a little higher. Especially by Sunday/Monday and beyond. The heat index by then will be back to 100 or higher.
I had to take the rain chances a little higher for the weekend down on the coast, near that stalled front. Scattered storms will be around at times.
Things are coming to alive in the tropics. We have an Area to Watch and Invest 91-L. NHC gives that system a 50/50 chance of tropical development in the next 5 days. We could see a Tropical Depression in a few days. The next name on the list is Fred.
